Colors

Colors began my music composition journey in the early 2010s. It was my safe place I went to, while trying to figure out my life choices in high school and later at the university.

The composition process came in a search for simple melodies that evoked feelings and images. I composed Gray after finding out my friend’s parents died, Blue was my reflection on childhood and my early friendships, Red came to me on a cold rainy winter day in Lisbon while I was missing my friends and family. Orange was inspired by the warm and lazy days spent in Porto while looking at the beautiful riverview and colourful rooftops in the old town.
